Star Sign Collective began with a simple problem and a creative solution. One summer, while working a festival, I was carrying crystals the only way I knew how — tucked into my bra — until the heat and sweat made it uncomfortable. I later came across the idea of storing crystals in a zipper scrunchie, but the options I found were poorly made and didn’t hold up to daily wear. Months later, an opportunity presented itself when a fellow business owner was looking for someone to create crystal pouches for her shop. I pitched the zipper scrunchie idea — before I’d ever made one. On December 21st, 2021 I created my first prototype. She loved it, placed an order on January 1st, 2022, and Star Sign Collective officially came to life.
